Project MUSE Launches a Virtual 25th Anniversary Celebration

After a pause for the pandemic, Project MUSE is proceeding with the launch of a long-planned anniversary website that collects the stories and celebrates the milestones of “25 years supporting digital scholarship.”   The anniversary website features a new video, a timeline of the platform’s evolution and growth, and reflections from 25 current and former staff members and associates. It also includes a new read-for-free curated selection of MUSE content from a variety of publishers called “MUSE in Focus: Charting the Digital Humanities.

Over 50 Publishers Offering Free Content on MUSE, Discovery Tools Now Available

In the past week, Project MUSE has partnered with the community of not-for-profit scholarly presses providing journals and books on our platform to offer significant amounts of that content for free. More than 50 publishers have chosen to temporarily make content freely available to assist with access for the many students, faculty, and researchers now working remotely due to the global public health crisis of COVID-19.
