Art and Architecture
Contains visual arts (sculpture, drawing, illustration, painting, print making), photography, design, decorative arts, and topics covering galleries, art museums, techniques, materials, exhibitions, study and teaching, theory, criticism, history, and art profession. Similar topics covered for architecture such as history, criticism, theory, study and teaching, architecture profession, commercial and domestic, materials, decorations, and planning.
Ecology and Evolution
Includes a range of natural history, natural resource management, and human ecology titles, including environmental impacts.
Education and Rhetoric
Contains works on the history and sociology of education from pre-school through higher. This include individual institutions. It mainly focuses on higher education practice, including a significant concentration of books on the theory, practice, and history of college-level rhetoric and composition pedagogy.
Film, Theater, and Dance
Contains topics on motion pictures, television, radio, plays, dramatic performances, and dance. This includes acting techniques, dance techniques, history, criticism, study and teaching.
Gender Studies
Contains gender identity and roles, gendered representation, sexuality, women studies, feminism, LGBTQIA+, civil rights, intersectional topics like class, race, and abilities.
Global Cultural Studies
Contains American studies, ethnic studies —including Asian, Latin American, African-American, and indigenous studies -- disability studies, and other works that fall within the rubric of contemporary cultural studies. Also includes broader global socio-economic topics.
History
Includes titles covering a broad spectrum of regions and time periods reflective of the many historical sub-fields housed in a traditional Department of History.

Literature
Includes literary criticism and literary theory, and biographies of authors. Also includes fiction/poetry from before 1950.
Music
Contains music theory, history, criticism, study and teaching, biographies, performances, and techniques.
Philosophy and Religion
Contains works on philosophy, theology, and select religious studies titles, excluding histories of particular religious groups (see History or U.S. Regional Studies) and sociology of religion titles (See Global Cultural Studies).

Public Health and Health Policy
Includes epidemiology, environmental health, global health, international health, health policy, infectious disease, non-communicable disease, neglected tropical diseases, and titles that touch on these and other subjects of interest to the broad field of public health.
Science, Technology, and Media
Contains science and technology topics that are not covered by Public Health nor Ecology and Evolution. Included topics are interdisciplinary between STEM, humanities, and social sciences. Media topics cover social media, digital mass media, electronic and video resources. Included computers, computer science, computer games, and video gaming.
United States Regional Studies
Includes local and regional U.S. history and cultural studies, reflecting the strong commitment to state and regional publishing shared by participating presses. U.S. Regional Studies may be purchased by geographic region:
