Project MUSE Usage Statistics
Project MUSE provides COUNTER-compliant usage statistics for libraries and consortia. Our reporting platform supports COUNTER Release 5.1 for current usage data, and usage statistics are updated monthly. Monthly statistics are typically available by the 14th day of the following month.
Usage reports are available in Excel and XML format and can be accessed by authorized librarians and administrators through the MUSE institutional reporting tools. Consortium-level reporting is available for eligible consortium subscriptions and purchases.
Project MUSE currently supports COUNTER Release 5.1 reporting. Historical 2024 usage data remains available in COUNTER Release 5.0 format. Usage data for the current year and the previous two years is available through our reporting tools.
